This is young Moonlit – lost, unsure, confused, shy, but still dope, raw and loving that analog 4-track hiss and one-take recordings.
To me "Dead Music" meant two things during this era:
1. Demo songs, projects, ideas, that remain drafts and never get put out. If music is never put out for the world, the natural circle remains incomplete. I was an incomplete person back then – I didn't trust the musical Me enough, trying to live by reason neglecting my heart & soul.
2. Underground rap scene was nearly dead. Dubstep came in 2003 and took a lot of artists and frontrunners with it. I felt lonely by my 4-track...
